THE STUDENTS FROM THE MANAGING DEPARTMENT RUN THE SHOW.

In a previous publication ( December 2015 ), we introduced the new team from the University's Managing Department of the University of Poitiers: five students determined to help promote our NGO. At the time we praised their energy, their commitment and team spirit all being key elements to the success of their entreprise.

They did not disappoint us. Their first endeavour, selling candy and chocolate within their department met with great success. Their fellow students were able to enjoy the sweets while supporting our NGO at the same time.

Their second project - looking for sponsors to collect prizes for a large raffle at La Chapelle-Bertrand - did not come to fruition... Nonetheless, the students did not let disappoitment bring them down and bounced right back. Having secured a reservation of the meeting hall at La Chapelle-Bertrand, they put together a beautiful show of Zumba and ADR (African Dance Revolution). A burst of energy, lots of fun and enthusiasm to electrify all generations! Many thanks to Fanny and Jacques, great entertainers full of talent and charisma.

The evening gave us the opportunity to introduce our NGO to a very receptive audience and sell handicrafts coming from our partners in the countries with which we have been working for nearly fifteen years.

The students will select the beneficiaries of the money they have collected (education, handicapped children and adults, infrastuctures, microloans, etc...).

The younger generations - used to a limitless virtual environment - can be made aware that real solidarity knows no borders.
