DECLARATION DE HAMMAMET:
Bonjour à tous ! Dans quelques jours, EW part à Tunis - afin de participer au Forum Social Mondial. Dans l'attente de vous faire parvenir des nouvelles directement du Forum, voici un extrait de la "Déclaration de Hammamet" du mois dernier. Tous nos meilleurs voeux et à très bientôt ! EW
"Le Forum Social Mondial se déroulera comme prévu à Tunis
du 26 au 30 Mars 2013. L'implication active des mouvements, associations,
syndicats, collectifs et réseaux de Tunisie, du Maghreb,
d'Afrique subsaharienne, des Amériques, d'Europe et du reste du Monde
permet d'augurer d'un Forum réussi, populaire et
dynamique.
Plus de 4000 organisations et réseaux se sont déjà inscrites - proposant
1500 activités. Les organisations internationales, les mouvements sociaux et
les syndicats viendront à Tunis pour rendre hommage, témoigner leur
solidarité aux mouvements de la société tunisienne, à leurs révoltes et à leur luttes d'hier et d'aujourd'hui, pour la
justice sociale, la démocratie et la dignité...
La bonne tenue du Forum Social est garantie tout à la fois par la
mobilisation des tunisiennes et des tunisiens que par l'appui des autorités
universitaires et des étudiants qui hébergent le Forum dans leur campus. Les
autorités gouvernementales et administratives réitèrent leur engagement pour
faciliter les conditions matérielles du Forum, sa sécurité et son bon
déroulement. Toutes les mesures sont prises pour garantir le respect de la
Charte de Porto Alegre et le respect du caractère ouvert, inclusif et non
violent de l'espace du FSM.
Le Forum Social Mondial de Tunis rassemblera des
milliers des femmes et des hommes qui, par leurs actions, leurs réalisations,
leurs luttes, contribuent à un autre monde - un monde de justice sociale, de
démocratie locale et globale, de respect de l'environnement, de dignité et
d'égalité en droits pour tous les hommes et les femmes, un autre monde
possible et nécessaire". (*)

THE HAMMAMET DECLARATION
Hello everyone ! In just a few days, EW will be down in Tunis so as to participate in the World Social Forum. We hope to get word out directly from there of different events, but in the meantime, here is a copy of the Hammamet Declaration, drafted last month. Be well and more very soon ! "The World Social Forum will take place in Tunis,
from the 26th to the 30th of March 2013. The active involvement of movements,
organizations, trade unions, platforms and networks from Tunisia, Maghreb, Sub-saharan African, from the Americas, from Europe and from all over the world augurs well for a successful, popular and dynamic Forum.
More than 4000 organizations and networks have already registered and proposed
more than 1500 different activities. International organizations, social movements and unions will also come to Tunis to
pay tribute and express their solidarity with the social movements in Tunisia - ... fighting
for social justice, democracy and dignity. A movement which, despite the current
difficulties in Tunisia, is asserting itself with strength and
determination.
Tunisian organizations and activists have mobilized, and
the university authorities and the students who will host the Forum on the
Campus will also be providing invaluable support. Administrative and governmental authorities have reasserted their
commitment to ensure the best material conditions for the Forum, as well as its security and
its good proceedings. All measures have been taken to ensure the respect of
the Porto Alegre Charter and the respect of the open, inclusive and non-violent
dimension of WSF space.
The Tunis World social Forum will gather thousands of men
and women who, through their actions, achievements and struggles, contribute to building a different world -
a world of social justice, of local and global democracy,
of respect of the environment, of human dignity, of equal of rights for all women and men. Another world is both possible and necessary". (*)
